Career
Levente Losonczy has raced karts since the age of 10, he climbed the ladder in various Rotax championships before trying his hand at car racing by joining the Bohemia Clio Cup in 2019. After three seasons, Levente reached another milestone in his career: he started racing TCR cars in 2022.
This year Levente is racing in TCR Italy and TCR Europe with Aggressive Team Italia that prepared an intensive test and race program for him. He drives Hyundai’s state-of-the-art petrol-powered touring car, the Elantra N TCR at several world class venues, including F1 Grand Prix locations like Monza, Imola, Paul Ricard, Red Bull Ring, Barcelona and the Hungaroring.
Levente claimed an overall 3rd place in Race 2 held in Imola before achieving another 3rd place in the category for drivers under 25 years of age in Misano.
The Team
Aggressive Team Italia is an organization that has been involved in the world of motor racing for years by constantly participating in national championships. The team won Lotus Cup Italia championships in 2015, 2016 and 2020 and since 2020 Aggressive Team Italia has been participating with its own drivers in the TCR Italy Championships and Coppa Italia Turismo with the competitive Hyundai i30 N TCR. The team staff is made up of specialized mechanics, track engineers and sporting director, they are able to enhance the potential of the cars, allowing the drivers to always have maximum assistance during the race, thanks also to the correct acquisition and interpretation of telemetry data and video content.
The Race car
Hyundai Motor’s high-performance N brand highlights the company’s goal to create high- performance vehicles that adhere to high standards of excellence, while providing drivers with vehicles that are fun-to-drive and practical at the same time. Every high-performance N model is designed by passionate experts and engineered at Hyundai Motor’s Namyang R&D Center. The vehicles are later sent to Nürburgring, Germany, one of the world’s most demanding racetracks, to undergo rigorous testing and validation. Through this painstaking process, N technology has been refined and reborn. N brand takes its name from the first letter of Namyang and Nürburgring.
Hyundai N’s name and reputation are well-established in global motorsports. Since its debut in 2013, N Brand has built a fervent reputation following its winning combination of everyday sports cars and its rapid rise in rally racing. N brand achieved victories at multiple rallies and races, including the FIA World Rally Championship, the FIA World Touring Car Cup and the Nürburgring 24 Hours Race.
Hyundai Elantra N TCR
In September 2019 design work began at Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing for the Hyundai Elantra N TCR before the car started testing already in June 2020. The World Premiere of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR was held at at the Beijing Motor Show in September 2020. The new model made its race debut at Daytona International Speedway with the Hyundai USA-Support Bryan Herta Autosport team in January 2021 before its European race debut in the four-hour NLS 3 race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife where the Hyundai Elantra N TCR won the TCR class in May 2021. The car returned to the the Nordschleife in June and finished 1-2 in Race 2 of its debut weekend in WTCR. Hyundai Motorsport TCR cars finished 1-2 in class at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. At the end of the season Hyundai Elantra N TCR customers in TCR Europe delivered the car’s first title by winning series’ teams’ championship.

The Hyundai Elantra N TCR development timeline
June 2021: The Hyundai Elantra N TCR finishes 1-2 in Race 2 of its debut weekend in WTCR at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Hyundai Motorsport TCR cars finish 1-2 in class at the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The Hyundai Veloster N ETCR makes a winning competitive debut at the first round of the new PURE ETCR series.
May 2021: On its European race debut in the four-hour NLS 3 race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife the Hyundai Elantra N TCR wins the TCR class.
January 2021: The Hyundai Elantra N TCR makes its race debut at Daytona International Speedway with the Hyundai USA-Support Bryan Herta Autosport team.
September 2020: The Hyundai Elantra N TCR is revealed to the public at the Beijing Motor Show. Hyundai Motorsport finished second in the TCR class for the third consecutive year.
June 2020: Testing of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR begins.
January 2020: Hyundai i30 N TCR customers claim the 100th race win for the car (TCR Malaysia, Sepang).
December 2019: Hyundai Motorsport TCR customers end the season with titles in seven series, including a second consecutive WTCR drivers’ title.
