His last competition was at the European Championship in Valencia, but the one-month spring break will come to an end this weekend as the Energy Corse kart driver will be competing in Cremona, in the final round of the WSK Super Master Series.
Martin Molnár will start the final round of the four-round WSK Super Master Series from the 16th position out of eighty-seven drivers. The event held in Cremona, 50 km north of Parma, is expected to attract 300 drivers, 67 of whom will compete in the OK category.
Martin has not raced on this track before, but he tested there last week. However there will be a difference compared to the testing, as the participants will be using LeCont tyres during the race weekend and the Hungarian driver will have to get used to them. As the starts and the different race situations cannot be simulated during the test, they will also be a challenge for the HUMDA-supported athlete.
The Energy Corse driver also had time during the break to participate in the Motorsport Talent Management team building day, where he spent some time with the touring car driver Levente Losonczy, superenduro rider Norbert Zsigovits and the kart driver Tamás Gender Junior. Moreover, he will now have even more opportunities to spend time with Tamás Gender Junior, as the 12-year-old driver has joined Energy Corse, which now has two Hungarian drivers.
From the 5th place in the world rankings in his category, Martin is looking forward to the rest of the season and a very busy period ahead, with three races in the next month.
The substantive part of the WSK Super Master Series’ final round begins on Friday, 28 April, with the time practice, followed by Heats on Friday and Saturday, and the Prefinal and Final on Sunday.
