Leaving behind the difficulties of the last race weekend, Tamás Gender Junior is ready to continue the WSK Super Master Series with renewed energy. The 12-year-old kart racer has clear goals for the event in Franciacorta.
This year’s second round of the WSK Super Master Series will be a historic weekend of racing as the field heads to Carezzato in the province of Brescia, including the Franciacorta Karting Track, which is unique because this 1,300-metre-long track has never been the venue for a WSK race.
The Hungarian driver of Parolin Racing Kart will be part of a field of 360 drivers, which is even bigger than the first round in Lonato, with 106 drivers in the OK Junior category.
After facing a number of difficulties in the first round of the four-round WSK Super Master Series, Gender Tamás Junior is hoping for a better weekend in Franciacorta.
“I prepared for this race weekend with physical and mental training and a two-day kart test. My goal is still to do my best and work well with the team, which hasn’t been a problem so far. I will focus on getting myself out of every situation on the track as a winner, and my main goal for the weekend is to make it to the final,” said confidently the HUMDA-supported athlete.
“I know the Franciacorta circuit very well, I have good memories of it from the MINI category, because I was awarded the best in the field. After the difficulties of the last race weekend, I’m looking forward to the second round of the WSK Super Master Series with renewed energy. The test went very well, so I’m confident.”
The second round of the WSK Super Master Series begins on Friday 17 February with qualifying and the first heats, and runs until 19 February. The schedule, results and live streaming of Sunday’s prefinals and final can be found HERE.
