After this year’s final round of the WSK Super Master Series, Martin Molnár will compete in Trinec, Czech Republic. This time the Energy Corse kart driver will be competing in the second round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series on a track similar to a rollercoaster.

The European karting elite will visit the Steelring International Circuit in Trinec for the second round of this year’s Champions of the Future Euro Series. The 96-strong OK field includes Martin Molnár, who will be competing in this category for the first time on this track.

The Energy Corse driver was among the front of the field throughout Wednesday’s mostly wet free practice session, which gives us confidence for the rest of the weekend. “The practice day went quite well, I only had the last lap on dry asphalt, but even here the track condition was not the best. In rainy conditions, we seem to be in good form,” summed up the HUMDA-supported athlete.

“The track is full of corners and hardly any straights, which, combined with the rollercoaster-like, dimply, hilly layout, makes this track quite unique, and there are also a few not-so-pleasant bumps. It’s also a very tight circuit and difficult to overtake on, so good timing and good positioning at the start of the races will be particularly important.”

The weekend will start on Thursday instead of Friday, with the time qualifying and the first heats, followed by the Heats on Saturday and the Superheat and Final on Sunday. The latter will be contested by 36 competitors. The weather is expected to be changeable in the rest of the weekend.
